PASSIONPassion is the active and vibrant expression of individual giftings and talents that invigorates an unreserved extension of the heart and hand.Colossians 3:23
PURPOSEPurpose allows us to respond to the call over our lives and is the driving force behind what we’ve been prepared in advance to do.Ephesians 2:10
POTENTIALPotential is the untapped, God-given power in us to multiply all that we have been entrusted with. It is the residing capacity that propels us beyond horizontal boundaries and is released by limitless nature of God.Ephesians 3:20
Propel is an initiative that seeks to celebrate the God-given passion, purpose, and potential of every woman. Whether you are leading at work, leading in your community, or leading within your family, the women of Propel @Altered Church want to provide you with supportive relationships and useful resources to equip you to reach your God-given destiny.
For generations, women have navigated the nuances of being a woman in leadership without a roadmap by finding their way through trial and error. While there are many leadership networks, books, and resources aimed at strengthening leaders, few address the distinctive role of women in leadership; fewer still address the calling of women in the marketplace. Despite the changing culture where women are more frequently found in professional positions of leadership, many women still wrestle with identifying themselves as leaders and feeling empowered to operate within their full leadership potential. Gaps in leadership training have forced women to compartmentalize their lives--separating work, church, and home.
Propel exists to help create an interconnected life in Jesus Christ, who affirms and acknowledges every woman’s gifts, passions, and leadership potential for the glory of the Kingdom.
“The Lord announces the Word and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng.” Psalm 68:11
This “mighty throng” of women is already in workplaces, communities, and homes around the world. Our desire is to empower women to lead more effectively and to see themselves as an intricate part of God’s plan in all spheres of life.
Propel @Altered Church is a group of women who meet at least once per month to support each other within the journey of womanhood. We desire to provide a safe space where we can encourage each other while we navigate the joys and challenges in all areas of life. We recognize and celebrate diversity and inclusivity. We acknowledge the differences that allows each of us to bring a unique piece to the “puzzle of us” with unique gifts and talents and personalities. We operate from a stance of abundance; we want to see all woman succeed free from competition and judgement. Your development and success contributes to the development and success of all of us.
If you are a woman searching for a place to become fully yourself, we hope you’ll join with us and the women of Propel @Altered on the journey.
Our meetings will be guided by Propel workbooks and videos; each series will focus on a theme (eg, Passion). Each series will consist of 6 meetings over 6 months. Every meeting will consist of time for both small group and large group discussion as well as viewing of a Propel video. The small group discussions will be led by a “table lead” using a provided discussion guide.
