ALTERED KIDS

Altered Kids recognizes the important role that our children play in the life of the church and it is our goal to treat them with value and worth, communicating Who Jesus is and how much He cares about them. We are passionate about making this learning experience engaging, challenging, fun, and developmentally appropriate. We are also excited to partner with parents and families by providing resources, training, service opportunities, and fun, wholesome events that will help create healthier families, foster togetherness, and help them grow together in their understanding of God and the application of His Word.

Altered Kids needs lots of help!

Please Consider:

  • Serving during community events.
  • Serving as a supervisor. We are looking for people to commit to one- two Sundays/month to serve in our nurseries: 0-1 year olds; 2-3 year olds, 4-5 year olds. This will start once services start on September 18th.
  • We are also looking for people to serve every Sunday as guides for our K-5th grades. Your role would be to build relationships with the kids and assist in the application of the story or idea that is presented during teaching time. NOTE- you will not have to teach the story or idea- Children will gather in a large group to hear the story; then they will split into age groups to do follow up activities- which you will lead (the activities, directions, and supplies will all be provided for you). We are looking for a K-1st, 2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th grade teacher. This will also start once services start on September 18th.
  • Serve as a storyteller. This commitment would be one-two Sundays a month. You would present the bible story/idea for children K-5 on Sunday morning. All materials would be given to you. You would miss 15- 20 min of the sermon in order to do this as well as have some preparation time at home.
  • Provide materials for us. We are in need of the following items by our first service in September:
    • supplies (markers, crayons, glue sticks, kids scissors, construction paper, coloring   books, sidewalk chalk, play-doh, face paints, etc)
    • popcorn machine, snow cone machine, parachute
    • gently used toys for 4 years and below (toys that can be easily sanitized with no small parts please)
    • baby items such as swings, jumpers, walkers, etc.
    • shelves
    • storage containers (preferably ones on wheels)
